Event Description:
Harnessing Canada’s Tax System for Inclusive Recovery & Growth
The COVID-19 pandemic is changing our world and forcing everyone to think differently about many things.

About this Event

To help Canadian policymakers think differently about growing our economy beyond its status quo, we have assembled a team of Canadian business leaders to voluntary explore ideas for harnessing Canada’s tax system for inclusive recovery and growth.

We have hosted five consultations already across the country to solicit feedback on some big tax reform ideas from Canadian businesses, tax practitioners and chambers of commerce. We are hosting one additional conversation on October 15 to ensure that no idea is being overlooked.

Consultations such as this have been feeding into our business led review of Canada’s tax system and we have identified many practical options for reforming Canadian’s tax system over the short-and long-term. Through the Think Growth project, we have been working towards building consensus and action for the broadest and most effective tax reforms to support Canada’s economic recovery.

Join us on October 15 for a practical discussion on how Canada’s economic recovery can be supported through a more competitive, simpler and equitable tax system
